Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family, Sunday October 16th

Dear friends, we join Fr Dermot Mills OMI, an Oblate based in St Michael’s Parish, Inchicore for morning prayer again this morning.

This Sunday morning, the gospel today tells us of an unjust judge who was asked by a widow to give her justice. He refuses. And so she continues to annoy him and pester him until he finally gives it.

I suppose there’s a lesson on prayer in this somewhere. But the gospel today is not just about sticking a prayer and persevering in prayer. It’s about that, yes. But it’s more than that…
