Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family, Thursday April 28th With Sr Anne Petit in London
You are welcome to join Sr Anne Petit in London for our morning prayer. Sr Anne is a member Congregation of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and their convent is in St John’s Wood, London.
“The apostles were brought in and made to appear before the Sanhedrin to be questioned by the high priest.” – Acts 5:27-33
For the Apostles, the choice was clear. They had to proclaim Jesus Christ, the messiah and be obedient to the mission He gave them.
The truth of the gospel and promise of salvation and forgiveness of sins which Christ offered, were too precious to be silenced by any mob, religious leader, or earthly ruler. Jesus’ final commandment to them was very clear: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”
We can reflect now on how we are called to live our faith, on the choices we make each day… How do we live our faith?
