Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: Thursday December 5th With Martin in Darndale-Belcamp
Good morning friends. We invite you to join Martin Gavin from the Parish of Darndale-Belcamp, Dublin, for today’s morning prayer on the first Thursday of Advent, December 5th.
Gospel | Matthew 7:21,24-27 ©
The wise man built his house on a rock
Martin reflects: ‘Everyday we are called to serve and we must answer that calling. What is desirable is that we do the will of the father, and it is that we will feel filled with the spirit of the Kingdom for work to make the kingdom a reality in our world. It involves continuous outreach beyond ourselves. We have to go to God by finding him present in our world around us, and helping others to be aware of that loving presence also. We will not do that by devoutly calling on God’s name while ignoring the needs of our brothers and sisters.’
Thank you for joining us this morning.
