Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family – Thursday November 10th

Good morning and welcome to morning prayer with Sr Anne from London. We appreciate that you are with us, so that we can support one another by praying and reflecting together as a community of faith and hope.

Today’s reading is from the Gospel according to Luke. We hear Jesus tell the Pharisees, his followers and us about the kingdom of God. The Jews were expecting someone to be sent from God who would bring about the kingdom of God on Earth. They thought it would be a kingdom that would free them from Rome rule. But, as Jesus told Pilate, his kingdom is not of this world, but of the spirit.
