Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: Tuesday June 28th

Good morning friends, today we join Fr Dominik of Our Lady of the Wayside parish, Dublin.

In today’s reading, from the Gospel of Matthew, we hear of the time when Jesus and his disciples were on a boat rocked by a storm. Jesus was sleeping at the time, when the fearful disciples woke him up, asking him to save them. Jesus asked them why they were afraid, suggesting such fear was unnecessary. The Lord then calmed the storm, to the amazement of the disciples.

How often do we find ourselves in situations where we’re fearful? Are we putting all our trust in Jesus? He will calm the storms in our lives, if we put our faith in him.
