Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: Tuesday October 3rd

Good morning once again dear friends. Today we join Oblate Vocations Animator, Fr Irvin Morastil OMI, for our prayer. Fr Irvin is visiting the Oblate Scholasticate in Vermicino, Rome – the scholasticate is a place where Oblate students live while studying to become Oblate Priests and Brothers.

In today’s gospel we see Jesus’ reaction is one which is not tolerating violence of any kind because he turned and rebuked the disciples when they suggested such a thing, which can be understood that these kind of ideas are not acceptable. So, as Christians today living in conflicting situations, we are being challenged by our own Christian values, vocation, and faith, to be men and women of peace, of reconciliation and forgiveness with each other.
