Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family with Mary, Friday May 27th

First day of OLAC2022

We join Mary Tyrrell who is in Wistaston Hall Retreat Centre in Crewe for the Province Hub for OLAC 2022 which begins today, Friday May 27th and runs through til Sunday May 29th.

Today we reflect on the Psalms and we also pray in particular for all mothers who persevere in faith in prayer for their children, who are anxious about them. Like Saint Monica, who prayed for her son, Saint Augustine, for 17 years, we pray for perseverance and trust in God’s timing in our lives. As we read today’s Psalm, make sure you take time today to be be joyful, to clap or sing in praise of God. “All peoples, clap your hands,   cry to God with shouts of joy!” – Psalm 47
