Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Friday August 6th

Friends, this morning we join Christine Hunt for our reflection video. On the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, Jesus’ disciples had a profound encounter where they received a glimpse of Jesus as the Son of God.

“Then a cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud there came a voice, “This is my Son, the Beloved; listen to him!”

Our transfiguration moments… we can easily forget these times when life is not going so well. Maybe today we can take some time to reflection back on when we might have encountered God in a meaningful or powerful way, and consider how we have transfigured in Christ and give thanks for those moments.
