Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Friday September 3rd With Wendy Denys in Tower hill

Good morning everyone, today’s prayer is presented by Wendy Denys, a member of the Oblate Parish of English Martyrs, Tower Hill, in the heart of London City.
If we are to be made new in Christ Jesus, we have to decide to leave the old ways behind. However, what was interesting that Jesus does not rebuke them for their desire for greatness, but tells them how to become great in the kingdom of God. He redefines the the concept of greatness. We must seek to become great in the eyes of God. Greatness comes from serving, and Jesus himself is our example.
“Rather the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like one who serves.” – Luke 22:26
