Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Monday August 23rd With Caroline
A Monday Morning Reflection:
“Let them sing for joy from their couches.” – Psalm 149
What does this line of the Psalm say to you? Caroline reflects on what this means to her. It is Monday morning. Many of us will be dashing to work, or dropping off children to school or relatives. The morning routine can be relentless, with little time to sing with joy.
Or, due to lockdown and isolation, we might be sick of the sight of our couches, being confined there to some degree over the past 18 months. Our couch might not be our own. Or, maybe the couch is the centre of your home. The words of the Psalmist could be about praising God from where we are, in whatever circumstances we find ourselves.
Thanks for joining us.
