Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Monday August 30th

Good morning friends, this week we go to the Oblate Parish of English Martyrs in Towerhill, London, for our morning prayer. Today, Monday August 30th, Jacob James, a member of the parish, leads us in our prayer.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tiding to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.” – Gospel of Luke

This passage of Isaiah highlights the main events of Jesus’ life. God revealed to Isaiah all the key events that Jesus would fulfill when he came into this world.
