Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Saturday July 31st

Dear friends, we welcome you to our morning prayer today with Frankie MacDonald in Scotland. Frankie is a member of the Oblate Lourdes Pilgrimage Team.

How often have we seen someone in a position of influence let us down? How many media reports have there been reporting on these type of stories? The report in today’s scripture concerns a king, with absolute power. Yet, John stood up against this powerful man and told the truth, calling out this leader. We are inspired by John’s defence of God’s law which resulted in his own death.
