Morning Prayer with the Oblates, Sunday June 6th, Feast of Corpus Christi With Padraig
Dear friends, this Sunday we celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi, the body and blood of Jesus, present in the bread and wine. We join Padraig this morning for our time of prayer and reflection. This year, during this year of restrictions and fasting from the eucharist, perhaps we have a deeper appreciation for the gift of the eucharist than we have had before.
O Sacred Banquet, in which Christ is received, the memory of his Passion is recalled, the soul is filled with grace, and the pledge of future glory is given us. (Antiphon for Corpus Christi) – Saint Thomas Aquinas
Thanks for joining us today.
