Dear friends, good morning and welcome to today’s morning prayer on Thursday August 25th. We invite you to join Theresa Codd, from Birkenhead, England, for a few moments of prayer and reflection together.

Today’s reading comes from the Gospel of Matthew, where Jesus tells his disciples to stay awake and alert for the coming of the Son of Man. We need to be ready and prepare ourselves for when we leave our earthly life behind, for no one knows when our hour will come.
