Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Thursday September 2nd With Danny in Tower Hill
Good morning friends, today we join Danny McLaughlin in the Oblate Parish of English Martyrs in Tower Hill, London, for our morning prayer. Danny presents today’s reflection which has been prepared by fellow parishioner, Martin Ford. Today is Thursday September 2nd.
Something extraordinary in today’s reading reflects what is currently happening in our church today. Pope Francis has called on the whole church, the whole people of God, to walk together in the spirit of participation and mission. This call is extraordinary, as was Jesus’ calling of the first apostles, ordinary men, to become fishers of men.
When he had finished speaking he said to Simon, ‘Put out into deep water and pay out your nets for a catch.’ – Luke 5
Thank you for joining us this morning.
