Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Tuesday August 31st

With Jacob in Tower Hill

Good morning friends, this week we go to the Oblate Parish of English Martyrs in Tower Hill, London, for our morning prayer. Today, Monday August 31st, Jacob James, a member of the parish, leads us in our prayer.

Today Saint Paul tells us that the coming of the Lord Jesus will take us all by surprise. Instead of focussing on this aspect, Saint Paul advises us to live our day to day life in accordance with the will and scripture of God, so that when that day comes, we are prepared to meet the Lord Jesus, difficult thought that is. He also gives us hope, by sharing with us that there is life beyond this human life, that we are all destined to enjoy that eternal life with the Lord. The gift of the Holy Spirit in our life that helps us orient our life towards God.
