Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Tuesday August 3rd With Mary Ryan
We join Mary Ryan in Sacred Heart church, Quex Road, Kilburn for our morning prayer today, August 3rd. In today’s gospel, it is the first time that the disciples truly recognise Jesus as the Son of God. For us, Jesus wants us to know he is the source of our strength, our comfort. We will not sink in sin if we trust in his mercy and love.
Then Peter got out of the boat and started walking towards Jesus across the water, but as soon as he felt the force of the wind, he took fright and began to sink. ‘Lord! Save me!’ he cried. Jesus put out his hand at once and held him. ‘Man of little faith,’ he said ‘why did you doubt?’ – Matthew 14:22-36
Thank you for praying with us.
