Dear friends, we invite you to join Fr Irvin in England for morning prayer. Fr Irvin is the director for Oblate Vocations.

Our Gospel reading today is an invitation for us to be able to deepen our knowledge and relationship with Christ. In a way, our knowledge of Christ has been shared with us and has been taught to us. We learn it from others. But Jesus, through this gospel, is inviting each and every one of us to go beyond from simply what we hear and what we have learned and what has been taught to us…

And so the question from how do people say I am to what about you? Who am I to you? Who do you say I am? And as we know, our knowledge of God can never be satisfied and completed by just our own initiative. It is a gift, a divine gift, a revelation, as Jesus would say. Peter was able to know that indeed He is the Christ because it has been revealed to him…
