Oblate Family Morning Prayer: December 25th, Christmas Day 2023

Good morning dear friends. You are very welcome to this Oblate morning prayer on this Christmas morning!

For Christmas week, we join some members the Oblate Parishes of Inchicore/Bluebell for morning prayer. Today, we join Ann Begley and her grandson, Eamon, for our special Christmas morning prayer. Earlier this year both Ann and Eamon travelled to Lourdes as members of the Oblate Pilgrimage Team. Ann has been going for many years, and this year was Eamon’s first time volunteering with the Oblate Youth Service.

This morning we are reminded that darkness will never overcome light, that good will triumph in the end. We are also reminded to be thankful for our families on this day, and we remember those whom we are missing dearly at this time.

“And the light shone in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.”
