Oblate Family Morning Prayer: December 31st 2023, Feast of the Holy Family

Good morning. You’re very welcome to this Oblate morning prayer on this Feast of the Holy Family and New Years’ Eve, the final day of 2023.

For Christmas week we join some the Oblate Parishes of Inchicore/Bluebell for morning prayer. Today, Fr Martin Moran OMI, area moderator leads our prayer on this Christmas Eve.

We invite you today to join Fr Martin this morning to reflect on the past year and take a few moments together to ponder some simple questions in a short examen – a technique of prayer, thanksgiving, and meditation for sensing God’s presence and guidance in our lives.

For many people, Christmas finishes around 4:00 on Christmas Day.
But for us as believers, Christmas is an everyday event. It’s a time of remembrance. It’s a time when we are invited to reflect on the great gift of the incarnation, Christ becoming one of us.
