Oblate Family Morning Prayer – Thursday August 17th With Veronica in Leith

Dear friends, we join Veronica for this morning’s prayer from St Mary’s Star of Sea, Leith, Edinburgh. Today’s reading demands a lot from us. Read the many times we must forgive, yet the Gospels tell us that our Lord himself forgave on many, many occasions. Our Lord Himself shows us the ultimate act of forgiveness. After enduring his horrendous passion, being subjected to the most awful brutality and humiliation ending in his crucifixion and death. Forgiveness can sometimes be difficult. It is the willingness to forgive that is important for the memory of the hurt may take time to disappear, but it could be an occasion if one has been hurt seriously.
Thank you for joining us this morning.
