Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Thursday August 24th

Good morning we invite you to join Rebecca Coyne on the island of Anglesey for our morning prayer on the 24th of August. Today is the feast of Saint Bartholomew. We know a little bit about St Bartholomew’s life: we know that he was one of the Twelve apostles. And we know that he was brought by the Apostle Philip to meet Jesus. Tradition tells us that Nathaniel is also Saint Bartholomew. His relics were enshrined on an island in the Tiber that was used as a hospital. And that’s why Saint Bartholomew is also the patron saint of the sick.

In a particular way today on the feast of Saint Bartholomew, let’s pray for those who are sick.
