Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Thursday October 19th with Mossie Lyons
Good morning friends. We invite you to join Mossie Lyons who works with Kairos Community Trust in London, for our morning prayer on October 19th. Today Mossie reflects on this morning prayer project in the light of today’s gospel. This daily prayer is a prayer guided by a reflection on the mass readings for the day, and it has provided opportunity and an invitation for this daily Scripture-inspired prayer since the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic in 2020. What an experience it has given us in the in the depth and the wide range of Scripture readings from the Old Testament, from the New Testament, like the readings of St Paul, Acts of the Apostles, some pray through the Psalms with us in the mornings. And of course, many, as I’m doing this morning, pray through the gospel of the Day.
The deep, rich, challenging beauty of God’s Word in daily, spirit-led reflections by faith filled brothers and sisters of our Oblate family – how wonderful!
Spend a few moments this morning in prayer and reflecting on the scripture with us. We hope you enjoy this morning’s reflection.
