We invite you to join Ros Appleby in Birkenhead, England, once again for our Oblate Family morning prayer on this Tuesday of Week 28th in Ordinary time, October 17th 2023.

Lord, we place our world before you, a world of famine and of plenty. A world of war and of peace. A world of beauty and of devastation. Open our eyes to see it, our ears to hear it, and our heart to love it as caring keepers and healers of your word.

In today’s gospel, Jesus has been invited into the house of a local Pharisee, and instead of a warm welcome, he finds himself shunned because he hasn’t followed the custom of washing before the meal. Spend a couple of minutes pondering the gospel with Ros.
