Good morning, friends. Join Pat who is praying with you today,Wednesday, the 2nd of August from Rock Ferry, Birkenhead, England. Pat is a Friend of St Eugene,
Lord, we pray this morning for you to help us be aware of your spirit and lead us in any decisions we make, in the conversations we have and the work we do. We know that in our humanity we are weak. But by the power of your spirit, we can be strong. We thank you for your promise to be with us always.
 
In today’s gospel reading we hear about two parables told by Jesus, two people who found something so valuable they gave up everything to keep it. Do we recognise how much we mean to God and the enormous cost of salvation? Christ was willing to give up His life to buy us back, to redeem us for eternal life with the Father in heaven. There really is nothing more valuable in life than seeking and knowing God….
