The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Wednesday 11th September 2024 With Ciaran Leonard
Good morning! We invite you to join Ciarán Leonard in Brazil for morning prayer on Wednesday September 11th.
Gospel | Luke 6:20-26 ©
Happy are you who are poor, who are hungry, who weep
Ciarán reflects: ‘Why are people still dying of hunger? Why are people suffering the effects of war in our world today? Today’s gospel gives us a very clear message of the world that God wants for us. The world that He and His Son Jesus Christ would like us to enjoy. In our world, we see stories of hatred. We see people who suffer because they are fleeing from war torn countries, or from areas which are economically deprived and seeking a better life. Let us remember all of those people and let us remember our own, our own, parts that we are called to play in that. Open the minds and hearts of those who promote hatred, greed, and ignorance so that we, the people of God, may live in peace, harmony and hope.’
Thanks for joining us this morning.
