World Day of Prayer for Creation September 1st Established by Pope Francis
Season of Creation
The Season of Creation has a special significance for the Catholic Church since Pope Francis established 1 September as an annual “World Day of Prayer” for the care of Creation.
The Season of Creation is celebrated throughout the Christian world from 1 September to 4 October, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
These resources will serve as a follow-up to the historic visit of Pope Francis and an introduction to his landmark encyclical Laudato Si’: On Care for our Common Home.
Resources for the Season of Creation 2019 from the Laudato Si Working Group
