Good morning! Thank you for joining us for our Oblate Family Morning Prayer. Please join Padraig Corcoran, director of the Oblate Youth Service, in Dublin, Ireland. Today is Friday 11th October, 27th Week in Ordinary time. 

The finger of God has overtaken you

Padraig reflects: “And whose name are we doing it in? We’re doing it in God’s name. We go to Lourdes, and we serve in God’s name. And yes, it might not always be conscious and young person’s mind that, you know, I’m doing this for God. But they might be just saying, I’m getting a good experience for myself and I want to serve, and that’s fine. But ultimately, we know why we go to Lourdes and why we go on pilgrimage. That’s why we do it. We know whose name we do it in and go with open hearts.”
