The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Friday 20th September 2024 With the Jersey Pilgrimage Group
Good morning everyone. It is the final day in Lourdes for the majority of our pilgrims. It’s been a wonderful few days of prayer. We invite you to join members of a very significant section of our pilgrimage – the group from the island of Jersey – who, this year are celebrating 50 years of journeying to Lourdes with the Oblate Pilgrimage.
Gospel | Luke 8:1-3
The women who accompanied Jesus
Deanna reflects: “Lourdes is a place that draws people back again and again. But why? I’m still not sure I know the answer. It is many different things and these may depend on who you are and what is happening in your life. It may be for healing. It may be for peace. It may be to know Jesus better and to get closer to him through His Blessed Mother. Perhaps it is in hope of finding the light of Christ that we heard about in the today’s reading. What do you think your reason would be?”
Thank you for joining us this morning.
