The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Friday 9th August 2024 With Sr Janet Audu DHS
Good morning dear friends. We join Sr Janet Audu from Wistaston Hall in Crewe on Friday, 9th August 2024, the feast day of Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein).
Gospel | Matthew 25:1-13 |
---|
The wise and foolish virgins
Sr Janet reflects: “We are reminded of how much we need extra oil. The extra oil, for me, is a symbol of faith, good works, and a life lived in Christ’s and active and prepared faith that can withstand the uncertainties of life. There was a delay in the arrival of the bridegroom. We were reminded of the importance of being vigilant, and the need for a continuous preparation ordinance to maintain a strong and active faith that can sustain us through life’s unpredictable journey. “
Thank you for joining us this morning.
