Good morning dear friends. We join with some of the parishioners from the Oblate Parish of Darndale-Belcamp in Dublin on Monday, 12th August 2024, the 19th Week in Ordinary Time.
Gospel | Matthew 17:22-27
‘They will put the Son of Man to death’
“Who likes to pay taxes, especially when you think they are unreasonable, or unjust? Jesus and his disciples were confronted by debt collectors under the issue of tax evasion and customs about paying the temple tax. Jesus told his disciples that we must must pay so as not to cause bad example. In fact, we must go beyond our duty to, in order that we may show others what they are to do.”
Thank you for joining us this morning.
