The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Sunday 11th August 2024 With Sr Lumay Thomas in Dardale
Good morning dear friends. We join Sr Lumay Thomas from the Oblate Parish of Darndale-Belcamp in Dublin on Sunday, 11th August 2024, the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Gospel John 6:41-51
Anyone who eats this bread will live for ever
Sr Lumay reflects: “The living bread came down from heaven is the flesh of Christ given up for the life of the world – the sacrifice of Christ on the cross gives life and the strength in the bread of the Eucharist. We can make our pilgrim journey through life to the Kingdom. Many people are limited by their human thinking. Jesus revealed another reality, one that is divine, transcendent, and which requires faith. We pray for openness to the deeper mysteries and the surprising ways God works in our lives and in the world.”
Thank you for joining us this morning.
