Good morning and welcome to this time of prayer and reflection with Veronica Halloran from the parish of St Mary’s Star of the Sea, Leith. 

Reflecting on today’s gospel we remember that in our lives, we may have moments of doubt. We do not always understand why things happen. When trials, disappointments and disasters come over us, we can be sorely tested and we feel lost. Yet God is there in our midst. If only like Peter, we call on him, ask for his help, and quietly listen to him.
