Good morning. We invite you to join our Oblate Family Morning Prayer. We join Mary O’Brien in Dublin for today’s time of prayer on Sunday, January 28th 2024.

Mark 1:21-28 “Unlike the scribes, he taught them with authority”

Mary reflects: 

“I think the comment speaking with authority refers to the fact that when reading the scripture texts to those in the synagogue, Jesus’ words are led by the Spirit and based on his relationship with God. I would probably also say or use the word authentic. The people knew he was speaking the truth.”
