Friends, we return to Sacred Heart Church in Kilburn once more for morning prayer with Lucia.

‘You are not far from the kingdom of God’

Lucia reflects on today’s gospel reading:
“The central theme in both of Jesus’s teachings is the call to love. The first commandment instructs us to love God above all else. Our love for God is always in response to God’s unconditional love for us. The more we give of ourselves to God, the more we will love him. The second commandment: love your neighbour, stems from our love for God. Our journey in loving God leads us to love others. When we led by these two commandments of love, we are on the brink of the kingdom of God that Jesus came to establish here on earth. “
