Jesus chooses his twelve apostles

Fr Michael reflects: ‘Jesus called these people to be with him in the mission. “Apostle” means to be sent and on a mission.In the reading, we see the world and the characteristics of the world into which they were sent, and we are sent, which certainly needs the the touch of the love of God, the compassion of God, the capacity to be with each other in laughter and in tears.’
