You are my friends if you do what I command you
Fr Martin reflects on the words of today’s gospel, “The Scripture scholars say there are many words. Stay in my love. Abide in my love. Live in my love. Remain in my love. Whichever word works best for you that God wants that intimate relationship. God wants to be part of your life.”, and also on those of Mechthild of Magdeburg, a 12th century mystic.

One can thus find Oblates in Britain and Ireland working in parishes, in missionary formation, preaching, social justice and pastoral ministries, or prisons. “No ministry is alien to us as long as we never lose sight of the main purpose of the Congregation: the evangelization of the most abandoned.” ~ Oblate Constitutions and Rules.
