Good morning, dear friends. You are very welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer. We join Pat Hughes in Birkenhead for this morning’s time of prayer.
Today’s Gospel from Mark is not the only place in the Bible where Jesus said that man was not made for the Sabbath. But Sabbath was made for men. The bone of contention here is which is greater man or the law about the Sabbath.
Mark 2:23-28
‘The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath’
