Good morning. We join Fr Dermot Mills of St Michael’s parish, Inchicore on Tuesday August 27th, in the 21st Week of Ordinary Time.

Gospel | Matthew 23:23-26
Clean the inside of the cup first, so that the outside may become clean

Fr Dermot reflects on today’s challenging Gospel message: “So in this gospel passage with very straight talking, Jesus brings these Pharisees and some of the religious leaders back to the way they should speak and behave. He doesn’t stand any nonsense. Instead, as Jesus brings them to mind, they are to be concerned with the awful plight of the people in front of them; the downtrodden, vulnerable ones.”
