Good morning all, and welcome to morning prayer. We join Fr Anibal Cazuriaga, OMI, in De Mazenod House, London to pray as a community of faith and hope together and reflect on today’s gospel. In Advent we are preparing to greet the Christ-child, to welcome God into our world, our homes and our lives.

And here in today’s Gospel, the voice of the Prophet Isaiah speaks down through the ages and is very much the voice of Advent. Isaiah reminds us of the importance of roots and spirit.
