Good morning and welcome to this time of prayer and reflection with Sr Anne Petit from London. 

Today’s the feast of Saint Dominic, a man who spent most of his time refuting heresies and taught and speaking the truth about Jesus. His order is known as the order of preachers because this is the main work preaching and teaching truths about the church, about Jesus.

During today’s gospel, the wind and the waves are about more than just weather conditions in this story. They are a descriptive idea of what is happening within the disciples. More than what was happening around them. Just like the world today is crying out in fear. We are taught that if we have faith in Jesus we can calm the storm.
