The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Tuesday 9th July 2024 With Pauline Thomas
Good morning, please join Pauline Thomas from the Oblate Mission on the island of Angelsey, Wales for our time of prayer today on Tuesday July 9th 2024.
Gospel | Matthew 9:32-37 ©
‘The harvest is rich but the labourers are few’
Pauline prays with today’s gospel reading:
“We hear how, as Jesus made his tour through the towns and villages, he responds with compassion to the crowds that gather around him because they were harassed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd. Once again, in this reading, we see the crowds that are drawn to Jesus and those in need are being brought to Jesus. They gather, hoping for a cure from all kinds of diseases. They’re hoping for healing, for freedom from their situation as it is. They’re looking to Jesus in hope. They’re imagining something better. What something better might look like…”
Enjoy the reflection this morning and thank you for joining us.
