The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Wednesday 14th February 2024

Good morning. We invite you to join our Oblate Family Morning Prayer. We join Anne Walker from Friends of Saint Eugene Group in Wistaston Hall, Crewe, for today’s time of prayer on Ash Wednesday, February 14th, 2024.

Ash Wednesday opens Lent, a season of fasting and prayer. Today we are called to ” Repent and believe in the Gospel” as we receive the ashes, remembering;  “that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

“Your Father who sees all that is done in secret will reward you”

 
Anne reflects: “Instead, it’s about our reality. A relationship with God. Our relationship with God needs to be continually nourished. Going to find time with God in a quiet, private environment allows us to be clear and closer to Him. He sees us as we do it, in the way that he will reward us.”
