Good morning. Welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 of the first week of ordinary time. Today we join Pauline Thomas on the Island of Anglesey to lead us in our time of prayer this morning.

‘He healed many who were sick with various diseases.’

Pauline reflects: ‘This episode takes us deeper into the question of who Jesus is and what his disciples must be like. By now, word has spread through Galilee of Jesus’s astounding teaching, with authority witnessed in the synagogue that morning. And now it’s sundown and the Sabbath is over. People can bring their sick to him. In fact, the whole city was gathered at the door.’
