Good morning! Thank you for joining us for our Oblate Family Morning Prayer. Please join Patsy Thomas in Beaumaris. Today is Wednesday, 16th October, of the 28th Week in Ordinary Time.

You overlook justice and the love of God

Patsy reflects: “In today’s gospel, Jesus contrasts how his critics have observed the temple tax stuck with the rules while neglecting justice and love. He points out that the rule of love is more important, not neglecting the others. He didn’t campaign about giving up the law, and he only neglects the law when there’s really good reason then and explains why he does it.”
