The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Wednesday 6th December 2023

Good morning all, and welcome to morning prayer. We join Pádraig Corcoran in Dublin for today’s prayer. Pádraig is the director of Oblate Youth Ministry.

God is generous. God gives us more time. God gives more than we need. Than we would ever need. In the gospel, Jesus give thanks and ask His disciples to hand them out the loaves and the fish to the people.

It was all preparation for what was to come. John the Baptist was not the only one preparing the way, but so was Jesus so many times, preparing the way for when he wasn’t going to be just present with them. He was preparing them for when those few days when he was not going to be there with them, when they saw him die in the cross and there were lost, they ran away when they betrayed him.
