The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Wednesday 6th November 2024 With Violet and Nolie
Good morning friends. We invite you to join Violet and Nollie in Sacred Heart Parish, Quex Road in Kilburn for today’s morning prayer on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 on the 31st Week in Ordinary time.
Gospel | Luke 14:25-33 ©
Anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple
We reflect: “Jesus made it clear that being his disciple requires deep commitment. He said that anyone who wants to follow him must hate their own family, even their own life, and carry their cross. This may sound harsh, but Jesus is using strong language to show us that nothing can come between. Before our relationship with God. To hate in this context means we must love God above everything else, including our dearest relationships and personal desires.”
Thank you for joining us this morning.
