The Resurrection Of The Dead – Sunday Sermon The Social Oblate
This Sunday, Fr Dominik offers an interesting reflection inspired by today’s gospel. Offering us food for thought as we head into the month of remembrance later this week, reminding ourselves that God is not of the dead but of the living.

“the resurrection of the dead”
When Flannery O’Connor, a great American novelist, faced on one occasion her friend saying that the Eucharist is a “pretty good symbol,” she answered then, “if it’s just a symbol, to hell with it” – making the point that you cannot water down the most important truth!
And so as the Eucharist is the Sacrament of the Body of Jesus, the body which healed, spoke, smiled, suffered and died, this is also the Body which is resurrected!
And so I pray that the confidence of Jesus, accompanies us and helps us to understand ever better why we need to love God with all our heart, soul and mind. To understand how great is His love for us – love without end.
