Responsibility for your Vocation – Sunday Sermon The Social Oblate
8th October 2023
27th Sunday in Ordinary Time A(I)
“Responsibility for your Vocation”
In that last part of the Gospel, when Jesus speaks about “the stone rejected by the builders that became the keystone,” he implores us personally not to repeat the same mistake from the past! He, as the keystone, the cornerstone, has not only the capacity to make our lives better. He is that “unum necessitum,” the only necessary thing to make sense of our Christian lives. With him in the centre, we become that branch: a part of the beautiful and living vineyard, receiving and giving life, bearing fruits, and bearing life.
