Good morning. We join Fr Dermot Mills of St Michael’s parish, Inchicore once again today, Wednesday August 28th, in the 21st Week of Ordinary Time.

“You are the sons of those who murdered the prophets” 

Fr Dermot reflects on today’s challenging Gospel message: “Law and tradition are very important for people. But Jesus points out it’s necessary to go further. And he tries to bring these Pharisees and religious people deeper and further to go beyond the rituals of the law to to go beyond what was outside, external, towards love and compassion. But they resisted. They didn’t either didn’t want to accept this, or they were unable to accept it. “
